America's Rain Forests

A Distance Learning Adventure

Prince William Network, National Forest Foundation and USDA Forest Service

Become a Friend of the Forest

Friends of the Forest is a new program from the National Forest Foundation (NFF) that allows both the NFF and the Forest Service to communicate with citizens:

  • who are concerned about the health of our National Forests
  • who are interested in recreational opportunities
  • who enjoy learning about the natural resources on the 192 million acres within the National Forest System.

The idea is catching on. People are responding and the number of "Friends" is growing. We invite you to join the thousands of people who have become Friends of the Forest by visiting http://www.nationalforests.org/. These forests are public lands meant to be enjoyed. But with use comes responsibility to care for them into the future. How will you exercise that care? As a Friend of the Forest, we'll help guide you to action.
